Airnet is doing a great wireless job against a large number of obstacles such as local interference and terrain obstructions. Before Airnet, the only option we had was very expensive but slow satellite and unbelieveably slow dial-up (16k was normal). Bell has been promising hi-speed for ten years (and charging a fee for it) but all you can get from Bell is double-talk about when it will happen. We now generally see speeds with Airnet exceeding 2Mbit/sec. After being stuck on dial-up for so many years, I thought moving would be the only way I would ever get broadband. Until Airnet came along. Now I get to do everything that people in town take for granted, like open an e-mail with pictures in it. Yes, there are problems, but when you call, you talk to the owner, not a call centre. When there are problems, they are usually fixed quite fast too.
